As a Senior Software Development Engineer on our AB 3P Tech team, you'll lead highly technical, entrepreneurial teams building distributed systems that power the B2B selling experience. You'll drive end-to-end development from design to delivery, make strategic technology decisions, and mentor engineering talent. Your team will own critical systems spanning from Seller Central to Amazon Business detail pages, cart, and checkout for merchant-fulfilled offers.

Key job responsibilities
Senior Software Engineer Role - Technical Leadership:
As a technical leader, you'll design and implement scalable solutions while driving architectural decisions for high-performance systems. Your expertise in Web Services, APIs, and Micro-Services architecture will be crucial in building reliable, AI-enabled systems. You'll apply industry-leading design patterns and coding practices to ensure exceptional solution quality.
Team Impact & Collaboration:
Your role extends beyond technical delivery to mentoring team members and driving their professional growth. You'll partner with stakeholders and offshore teams, translating business requirements into technical deliverables. Good communication skills are essential as you'll interact with users, technical teams, and senior management to gather requirements and articulate technical designs and strategy.

- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
