Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience as a data analyst, with a strong focus on growth metrics and commercial performance. Your expertise in SQL and data modeling allows you to turn complex datasets into actionable insights that drive revenue and retention. You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, including finance, sales, and marketing, to understand their data needs and deliver impactful analyses. You have experience with dbt and BigQuery, enabling you to design and maintain robust data pipelines and models that support business objectives. You thrive in an environment where you can influence decision-making through data and are excited about the opportunity to shape the analytics function at 9fin.

Desirable

Experience in the financial services or fintech industry is a plus, as is familiarity with CRM systems and marketing analytics. You are a proactive communicator who can present complex data findings in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders at all levels. You are passionate about using data to solve problems and improve business outcomes, and you enjoy mentoring junior analysts to help them grow in their careers.

What you'll do

As the first dedicated functional analytics hire at 9fin, you will partner with various teams to transform CRM, finance, and marketing data into decision-grade insights. You will design and own core datasets using dbt and BigQuery, ensuring that the data is accurate, accessible, and actionable. Your responsibilities will include authoring and maintaining dbt models, tests, documentation, and macros that produce production tables for accounts, opportunities, bookings, revenue recognition, customer events, and marketing touchpoints. You will lead the development of commercial reports and analyses, such as bookings vs. pipeline reporting, quota attainment, and cohort retention metrics. Your work will directly impact the company's ability to make informed decisions and drive growth.
