Overview

Axon is seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead the strategy and execution of innovative hardware products. You'll define product vision and guide cross-functional teams in Scottsdale, Arizona. This role requires strong technical fluency and customer empathy.

You have extensive experience in product management, particularly in hardware, with a proven track record of delivering successful products that integrate into broader ecosystems. Your technical fluency allows you to communicate effectively with engineering teams while your customer empathy ensures that user needs are at the forefront of product development. You thrive in collaborative environments and are skilled at guiding cross-functional teams towards a common goal. You understand the complexities of hardware product development and are adept at navigating the challenges that come with it. Your leadership style fosters innovation and encourages team members to contribute their diverse perspectives. You are passionate about making a meaningful impact through your work and are driven by a mission that aligns with protecting life and enhancing safety.

Desirable

Experience with agile methodologies and familiarity with cloud software solutions would be beneficial. A background in safety and justice technology is a plus, as is a strong understanding of market trends in hardware products. You are comfortable with data-driven decision-making and have experience in defining product roadmaps that align with strategic business objectives.

What you'll do

In this role, you will define and evolve the product vision, strategy, and roadmap from concept through launch. You will lead the development of innovative hardware products, ensuring they meet customer needs and align with Axon's mission. Collaborating closely with engineering, design, and marketing teams, you will guide the product lifecycle and ensure successful launches. You will conduct user research to gather insights that inform product decisions and prioritize features based on customer feedback and market analysis. Your role will involve setting clear objectives and key results (OKRs) for the product team and tracking progress against these goals. You will also be responsible for stakeholder management, ensuring alignment across various departments and communicating product updates effectively. As a Principal Product Manager, you will mentor junior product managers and contribute to the overall product management strategy at Axon.
