Senior Database Reliability Engineer

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in database reliability engineering, focusing on maintaining and optimizing large-scale database systems. Your expertise includes working with MySQL and PostgreSQL, ensuring high availability and performance across multiple databases. You are comfortable with scripting languages such as PowerShell and C#, which you use to automate tasks and improve efficiency. Your strong SQL skills allow you to write complex queries and optimize database performance effectively.

You have experience managing very large databases (VLDBs) of 1+ TB and are adept at handling a large number of databases, often exceeding 100. You understand the intricacies of database architecture and are skilled in troubleshooting and resolving issues that may arise in production environments. Your familiarity with tools like Git and Jira enhances your ability to collaborate with development teams and track project progress.

You are knowledgeable about cloud technologies, particularly Azure, and have experience with data integration tools such as Azure Data Factory. Your understanding of monitoring tools like Grafana allows you to visualize database performance metrics and proactively address potential issues. You are also open to learning new technologies and methodologies that can enhance your work and contribute to the team's success.
