Databricks is seeking a Senior Certification Exam Developer to design and maintain certification exams for their Certification Program. This role requires expertise in exam design and collaboration with technical experts in data analysis and machine learning.
You have extensive experience in exam design and development, particularly in the context of certification programs. Your background includes working closely with subject matter experts to create high-quality certification content that meets industry standards. You understand the importance of psychometric principles and have a keen eye for detail when it comes to maintaining and analyzing exam performance.
You are skilled in facilitating job-task analysis and designing exam blueprints for high-stakes certification exams. Your experience includes recruiting, training, and scheduling subject matter experts to assist in item development, ensuring that the exams are relevant and up-to-date. You are familiar with industry best practices in item development workshops and have a strong grasp of the technical aspects involved in exam publishing.
You are comfortable utilizing AI tools to accelerate exam development and have experience with item banking tools that streamline the exam development process. Your ability to monitor exam performance and make data-driven decisions ensures that the certification exams align with the competencies required for various roles in the Data + AI industry.
Experience in the Data + AI industry is a plus, as is familiarity with the latest trends in data analysis, data engineering, machine learning, and generative AI. You are proactive in seeking out new methodologies and technologies that can enhance the certification process and improve the overall quality of the exams.
In this role, you will collaborate with the Sr. Manager of Certification Development to design and develop certification exams that reflect the needs of Databricks partners and customers. You will conduct thorough job-task analyses to create exam blueprints that accurately assess the competencies required for various roles in the industry. Your responsibilities will include facilitating item development workshops, where you will guide subject matter experts in writing and reviewing exam items.
You will also be responsible for conducting standard-setting sessions to determine cut scores for the exams, ensuring that they meet the necessary psychometric standards. Your role will involve ongoing analysis of exam performance, allowing you to make informed decisions about necessary updates and improvements to the certification content.
You will work closely with global stakeholders and technical curriculum developers to ensure that the certification exams are comprehensive and relevant. Your ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams will be crucial in delivering high-quality certification content that meets the needs of the Data + AI industry.
