AWSCisco

Overview

Amazon is hiring a Network Deployment Lead to oversee medium to large-scale Data Center cabling deployments. You'll work with AWS infrastructure and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure project success. This role requires expertise in networking and project management.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in network engineering with experience in managing large-scale deployments — you've successfully led projects that involve complex cabling installations and have a keen understanding of data center operations. Your expertise in AWS infrastructure is complemented by your familiarity with Cisco networking equipment, allowing you to navigate technical challenges effectively. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with diverse teams of engineers and contractors to achieve project goals. Your project management skills enable you to plan, schedule, and execute tasks efficiently, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and informed throughout the process. You are detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high standards of quality and safety in all deployments. You understand the importance of effective communication and are adept at engaging with external vendors and contractors to facilitate successful project outcomes.

Desirable

Experience with cabling standards and best practices is a plus, as is familiarity with supply chain management in the context of data center operations. A background in project management methodologies will help you excel in this role, as you will be responsible for coordinating multiple aspects of deployment projects.

What you'll do

As the Network Deployment Lead, you will take ownership of the planning and execution of cabling deployments across AWS data centers — this includes initial planning, installation, validation, and quality assessment of cabling infrastructure. You will engage with external contractors, ensuring they are onboarded effectively and adhere to project specifications. Your role will involve working with a wide range of project stakeholders to determine device and cabling requirements, scheduling resources to meet project timelines, and ensuring that all installations meet AWS's high standards for safety and security. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting any issues that arise during the deployment process, collaborating with your team to find solutions quickly and efficiently. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a culture of inclusivity and innovation within the team, encouraging bold ideas and empowering team members to take ownership of their work.

What we offer

At Amazon, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, financial, and other perks designed to support your well-being and career growth. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your contributions directly impact the success of AWS infrastructure services. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement — we value diverse perspectives and are committed to building a team that reflects the communities we serve.
