Amazon is hiring a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to support AWS infrastructure. You'll be involved in troubleshooting, facility management, and performance monitoring. This role requires familiarity with AWS and operational processes.
You are a motivated individual eager to join a diverse team at Amazon, where you will support the operations of AWS data centers. You have a foundational understanding of data center operations and are ready to assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety and security will help ensure that our customers have continual access to the cloud services they rely on. You are comfortable working with contractors and vendors, ensuring that all work aligns with established practices and local legislation.
You possess a collaborative spirit, ready to work alongside software, hardware, and network engineers, as well as supply chain specialists and operations managers. You understand the importance of key performance indicators and are eager to provide insights to senior engineers. Your ability to manage multiple tasks and projects of moderate complexity will be essential in this role.
Experience in a technical role or familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems is a plus. You are open to learning and growing within the field, and you are excited about the challenges that come with maintaining AWS's global infrastructure.
In this role, you will assist in the troubleshooting of facility and rack-level events, ensuring that all operations meet internal Service Level Agreements (SLA). You will perform rack installations and decommissioning, as well as operational readings and facility management tasks. Your responsibilities will include monitoring the performance of maintenance and operations on all electrical and mechanical systems, contributing to the overall efficiency of the data center.
You will be responsible for the on-site management of contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors, ensuring compliance with established practices and local legislation. Your role will involve providing key performance indicators to senior engineers, helping to drive improvements in operational efficiency. You will collaborate with various teams across AWS, contributing to the highest standards of safety and security in our data centers.
