Overview

Amazon is hiring a Network Deploy Technician to support and manage AWS's vast network infrastructure. You'll work with AWS, Cisco, and Linux to ensure the stability and sustainability of next-generation networks. This position requires experience in large-scale network implementation and troubleshooting.

Job Description

Who you are

You have experience as a Network Deploy Technician, ideally with a background in supporting large-scale, enterprise-class networks. You thrive in collaborative environments and are comfortable working with minimal supervision. Your expertise includes network implementation and troubleshooting, and you are familiar with best practices for managing network infrastructure. You are physically capable of meeting the demands of the role, including lifting and moving equipment as necessary. You understand the importance of capacity management and are proactive in ensuring network stability and sustainability.

Desirable

Experience with AWS services and Cisco networking equipment is a plus. Familiarity with Linux systems will enhance your ability to manage and troubleshoot network issues effectively. You may also have experience in automating network processes to improve efficiency and scalability.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for driving the stability and sustainability of AWS's next-generation networks. You will assist in scaling support across multiple data center locations, ensuring that capacity management is handled effectively. Your day-to-day tasks will involve collaborating with internal customers and external vendors to facilitate smooth project execution as directed by Network Leadership and Technical Project Managers. You will establish and follow best practices while refining operational procedures to enhance network performance. Regular peer and customer interaction will be a key part of your role, allowing you to contribute to a collaborative team environment. You will also participate in primary responder rotation and provide after-hours support as needed, ensuring that network operations run smoothly 24/7.
