Overview

SpaceX is hiring a Launch Pad Technician for the Starship Tower to maintain mechanical and fluid systems in preparation for launch operations. You'll work with hydraulics, high-pressure systems, and cryogenic systems in Cape Canaveral.

You are a motivated and energetic mechanical technician with a strong focus on maintaining high-quality work. You have experience with mechanical and fluid systems, particularly in a launch operations context. You thrive in a team environment and are not afraid to make suggestions for process improvements. Desirable

Experience with hydraulic systems, high-pressure nitrogen and helium systems, and cryogenic systems is a plus. Familiarity with fabrication and installation of fluid system components from schematics or engineering drawings will set you apart. You should be comfortable working night shifts and be ready to adapt to the dynamic environment of a launch facility.

What you'll do

As a Launch Pad Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the Starship Tower and Launch Mount mechanical and fluid systems. This includes troubleshooting operational issues during the activation of these systems. You will work closely with a team of technicians and engineers to ensure that every system is built with the utmost quality to support launch operations. Your role will involve fabricating and installing fluid system components, such as ball valves, check valves, pressure regulators, and pressure gauges, based on engineering drawings.

You will actively participate in the preparation for launch operations, ensuring that all systems are functioning correctly and efficiently. Your contributions will directly impact the success of SpaceX's missions, as you help maintain the critical systems that support human exploration of space. You will also be encouraged to suggest improvements and innovations that can enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the team's operations.
