You possess strong technical skills in data APIs and have experience with data pipelines — you understand the intricacies of real-time data movement and the importance of maintaining feature parity for scaling customers. Your leadership style emphasizes collaboration and mentorship, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within your team.

What you'll do

As the Engineering Manager at Mixpanel, you will lead the Data Pipeline & API team, ensuring that our systems are robust and efficient — you will oversee the development and maintenance of data APIs that are foundational to customer onboarding and support trillions of requests each month. Your role will involve setting technical direction and ensuring alignment with product strategy.

You will be responsible for mentoring and developing your team members, conducting regular 1:1s, and fostering a collaborative environment — you will encourage innovation and help your team navigate challenges in building scalable systems. You will also work closely with product managers to define the roadmap and prioritize features that enhance customer experience.

Your leadership will be crucial in driving the reliability and performance of our data systems — you will implement best practices for system architecture and ensure that our solutions are scalable and maintainable. You will also engage with external stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure that our systems meet their expectations.
