Overview

Microsoft is seeking an Energy Project Manager to manage strategic energy projects and build relationships with utilities. You'll need to understand energy markets and drive commercial project execution. This role is based in multiple locations across the United States.

Who you are

You have a strong background in project management, particularly in the energy sector, and possess the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments. Your experience includes sourcing and negotiating energy supply opportunities, and you are adept at building relationships with utilities and stakeholders. You understand the dynamics of energy markets and delivery systems, and you are committed to driving sustainability targets through innovative solutions. You are a collaborative team player who communicates effectively with cross-functional teams and leadership to influence strategic decision-making.

Desirable

Experience in managing large-scale energy projects or infrastructure development plans is a plus. Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and its operations can enhance your candidacy. You are also encouraged to bring any additional certifications or training relevant to energy project management.

What you'll do

As an Energy Project Manager at Microsoft, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of activities that support the company's datacenter growth. This includes identifying and executing on energy supply opportunities and developing infrastructure plans. You will lead efforts to communicate with various stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are aligned with project goals and timelines. Your role will also involve performing due diligence on growth opportunities and influencing strategic decisions that align with Microsoft’s sustainability targets. You will work closely with the CO+I Energy Team to deliver creative solutions that meet business goals.
