Who you are

You are a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a hands-on operational role. As a Pellet Mill Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining several pellet mills, ensuring optimal feed rates and monitoring pellet quality to meet company standards. You understand the importance of following workplace and job safety procedures and are committed to maintaining a clean work environment.

You have a strong ability to analyze equipment performance and make necessary adjustments to produce desired throughput and quality results. Your experience includes performing and documenting required inspections of equipment, ensuring it remains in good condition. You are comfortable reviewing work order specifications to determine the materials and procedures needed for pellet production.

You possess the skills to adjust machine components to regulate speed, pressure, and temperatures, as well as the flow of materials and ingredients. You are attentive to machine operations, monitoring indicator lights and gauges to detect malfunctions and troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.

What you'll do

In this role, you will operate and maintain pellet mills, ensuring that production meets the required standards. You will analyze equipment performance and make necessary tooling and equipment changes to optimize throughput and quality. Your responsibilities will include performing quality control testing, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, and conducting ash tests.

You will be responsible for maintaining consistent production quality and following all workplace safety procedures. This includes performing and coordinating maintenance on equipment according to job instructions and ensuring that housekeeping standards are met. You will document all required inspections and maintain accurate reporting of equipment performance and production metrics.

You will work closely with your team to ensure that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. Your role will be crucial in helping Enviva achieve its mission of delivering sustainable wood bioenergy solutions.
