We’re a fully distributed team with employees across North American time zones. We’re well-funded, having raised $100m in funding from top investors including Greenoaks Capital, Lachy Groom, and Lightspeed Ventures. Our fast-growing customer base includes rapidly growing SaaS companies like OpenAI, Cursor, Perplexity, Vercel, Plaid, and hundreds of others.
About the Infrastructure Team
The Infrastructure team powers the core systems behind the WorkOS platform. We build and maintain the foundation that keeps everything running smoothly—handling millions of requests, operating at scale, and ensuring our systems are fast, reliable, and always on for our customers.
Our team works across the stack and partners closely with teams throughout the company. We regularly step in to support high-impact projects, contribute architectural perspective, and ensure systems are built to scale. If you’re curious by nature, motivated by complex challenges, and enjoy working across infrastructure layers—this role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for engineers who are excited to work on foundational systems and enjoy collaborating across the stack. You might be a great fit if you:
- Bring a generalist mindset and are comfortable working across infrastructure layers—from compute and networking to storage and databases
- Enjoy thinking through architecture and infrastructure design, and can balance trade-offs between simplicity, scalability, and reliability
- Are curious and proactive, with a strong desire to understand how systems work end-to-end
- Partner well with product engineering teams to design systems that are reliable, scalable, and easy to operate
- Care deeply about observability, reliability, and performance, and treat them as essential to the user experience
- Work independently, take ownership, and follow through—from identifying a need to shipping a solution
