Overview

Samsara is seeking a Mid Market Account Executive to drive sales of their IoT solutions to mid-sized customers. You'll engage with executives and manage complex sales processes. This role requires strong communication and negotiation skills.

Who you are

You have a proven track record in sales, particularly in the technology sector, and are comfortable engaging with mid-sized customers. Your experience includes managing complex sales processes, negotiating pricing, and working with multiple stakeholders to close deals. You thrive in a remote work environment and are willing to travel approximately 25% of the time to meet clients and attend events. You are motivated by the opportunity to bring innovative IoT solutions to businesses and help them improve their operations.

You possess strong communication skills, allowing you to effectively convey the value of Samsara's products to executives and CXOs. You are adept at building relationships and understand the importance of customer success in driving sales. Your ability to analyze customer needs and tailor solutions accordingly sets you apart in the competitive landscape of IoT sales.

Desirable

Experience in the IoT or technology sales space is a plus, as is familiarity with sensor data and its applications in various industries. You are a self-starter who is comfortable working independently while also being a collaborative team player. You have a passion for technology and a desire to help businesses leverage data for operational improvements.

What you'll do

As a Mid Market Account Executive at Samsara, you will be responsible for driving sales to mid-sized customers across various industries, including agriculture, construction, and transportation. You will engage with potential clients to understand their needs and demonstrate how Samsara's IoT solutions can enhance their operations. Your typical sales will range from $20k to $100k, requiring you to manage proof of concepts, trials, and negotiations with multiple stakeholders.

You will work closely with the marketing and product teams to ensure that you have the necessary resources and information to effectively sell Samsara's offerings. Your role will involve conducting presentations and product demonstrations, as well as following up with leads generated through marketing efforts. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of your sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system.

In this role, you will have the autonomy to develop your sales strategy and identify new opportunities for growth within your territory. You will collaborate with other sales team members to share best practices and support each other's success. Your contributions will directly impact Samsara's growth and help shape the future of physical operations through innovative technology.
