Job Description

Amazon is seeking a highly intelligent, high-judgment and self-motivated communications professional to join our WW Operations Internal Communications team (OIC). This individual will play a critical role in identifying and rapidly responding internally to emerging topics and issues across the North America Operations businesses (fulfillment centers, sortation centers, delivery stations, air hubs, and more). The candidate will have dealt with complex, high-profile, and fast-moving situations and should be comfortable with rapid response to a wide range of topics, including handling issues management.

The successful candidate should possess excellent communications skills, exceptional initiative, talent for collaboration, external and internal communications experience, and the capacity to assess situations quickly and respond appropriately. The individual in this role needs to love and have deep experience in reactive communications, developing proactive strategic communications, and thrive on unwinding fast-moving and complex topics.

Key job responsibilities
• Monitor, assess, escalate, prioritize, and resolve a variety of situations occurring simultaneously with excellent judgment
• Earn trust and work closely with business leaders to drive alignment on a wide range of topics, often under tight deadlines
• Ability to work across multiple stakeholders and regions to quickly gather details and develop the needed communications
• Develop creative, effective approaches and messaging to difficult and time-sensitive communications challenges
• Support issues rapid response through the team’s on-call rotation
• Look around corners to spot emerging topics and invent and test proactive and preventive strategic communication plans and scalable standard work that drives business impact
• Create and maintain toolkits, playbooks, processes, and messaging databases for global internal communication partners
• Pay unrelenting attention to details- 7+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience managing fast-moving reactive communications
- Experience building robust communications programs and delivering results
- Exemplary written and oral communications skills- Exercise high judgment, particularly in narrow timeframes
- Think and communicate clearly – the ability to formulate a clear point of view on complicated issues and create a concise and well-written narrative
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
- Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance communication efficiency and strengthen project management workflows, resulting in improved team collaboration and deliverable quality
- Team player who is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $188,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
