Amazon is hiring a Data Centre Support Engineer Apprentice to join their AWS infrastructure services team. You'll play a hands-on role in maintaining cloud computing infrastructure. This position is ideal for those with military experience and requires a curiosity about cloud technologies.
You are someone with military experience or a military spouse/child looking to transition into the private sector. You have a strong curiosity about how cloud computing works and are eager to engage in hands-on tasks that keep data centres operational. You are ready to learn and grow in a supportive environment that values innovation and customer experience.
You understand the importance of teamwork and collaboration, as you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for maintaining the infrastructure that powers Amazon Web Services (AWS). You are adaptable and willing to take on various responsibilities within the data centre operations, ensuring that systems run smoothly and efficiently.
Experience or familiarity with data centre operations or cloud technologies is a plus, but not required. A willingness to learn and a proactive attitude will help you succeed in this role. You are open to receiving mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals in the field.
As a Data Centre Support Engineer Apprentice, you will assist in the design, installation, and maintenance of cloud computing infrastructure that supports AWS. Your responsibilities will include monitoring systems, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that all equipment operates reliably. You will work closely with experienced engineers to learn best practices in data centre operations and gain hands-on experience with servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling systems.
You will be involved in supporting the systems that power various services, from streaming to online shopping, ensuring that customers remain connected to the services they rely on every day. Your role will also include participating in training sessions and workshops to enhance your technical skills and knowledge of AWS technologies.
