Apple is seeking a PC Board Designer to support board designs for Electrical Engineering teams. You'll work with tools like Altium Designer and AutoCAD to create complex printed circuit boards. This role requires a deep understanding of PCB design and collaboration with multiple design teams.
You have a deep understanding of printed circuit board design (PCB) and experience in high-speed design environments — you thrive in collaborative settings and are eager to learn from design engineers. Your background includes working with CAE and CAD applications, enabling you to create detailed layouts of rigid and flexible printed circuit boards. You are motivated and dynamic, ready to tackle complex design challenges and contribute to innovative projects at Apple.
You are familiar with PCB design trends and processes, and you have the ability to evaluate and implement those processes that apply to Apple’s core technologies. You have experience conducting design feasibility studies to assess PCB design goals related to packaging, cost, manufacturing, and system performance. Your problem-solving skills allow you to assist PCB Designers in resolving critical design issues effectively.
You are also capable of training PCB Designers in specialized areas, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help elevate the team's overall performance. Your collaborative spirit and commitment to excellence make you a valuable asset to any engineering team.
Experience with fabrication houses and an understanding of manufacturing processes would be beneficial. Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in PCB design will enhance your contributions to the team.
In this role, you will collaborate with various Design teams to plan schedules and resolve costs, packaging, manufacturing, and electrical design issues. You will be responsible for creating complex printed circuit board designs that meet Apple’s high standards for quality and performance. Your work will involve using advanced CAE and CAD tools to develop layouts that are both functional and efficient.
You will conduct thorough design feasibility studies, evaluating the goals for packaging, cost, and system performance to ensure that all designs align with Apple’s objectives. Your ability to analyze and implement PCB design trends will help keep Apple at the forefront of technology innovation.
As you assist PCB Designers in resolving critical design problems, you will also have the opportunity to mentor and train them in specialized areas, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
