Job Description

Join our innovative team at eero where you'll help shape the future of home connectivity. You'll collaborate with talented engineers to develop embedded systems that power our reliable mesh networking technology, directly impacting millions of homes and businesses.

Key job responsibilities
- Design and implement embedded software solutions for hardware services, including device drivers and Linux kernel modules
- Embedded development with C/C++, Rust, delivering high-quality code for eero Devices.
- Develop applications and features in Golang, Python, C++, or Rust on eero's operating system, which spans across all eero hardware
- Contribute to system architecture and technical requirements development
- Evaluate and enhance system performance through data analysis and testing
- Guide technical development through thoughtful code reviews and mentorship
- Foster continuous improvement through engineering best practices and innovation

You'll engage in feature development, stability analysis, technical specifications review, and work closely with cross-functional teams to create exceptional customer experiences. About the team
The Connectivity Platform team develops control and management plane software for eero hardware. We collaborate across multiple disciplines, including Customer Experience, Product, Cloud, Quality Assurance, Hardware, Product Analytics, and Manufacturing Operations. Our inclusive environment encourages innovative thinking and shared success.- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming experience in at least one software programming language
- 5+ years of experience leading systems design and architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Understanding of system-level software/hardware interaction
- Experience with device drivers, Linux systems, and networking
- Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP, IP, UDP, DHCP, DNS, ARP, NAT)
- Experience in technical team collaboration- Experience with networking layers L3 to L7
- 3+ years of Python and/or Go programming experience
- Background in embedded systems development
- Experience with mesh networking technologies

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
