Senior Compliance Specialist (AML Auditor)

Who you are

You have a strong background in compliance and auditing, particularly in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) practices. With at least 5 years of experience in the field, you understand the complexities of regulatory requirements and have a proven track record of developing effective audit plans. Your analytical skills allow you to assess risks and implement strategies that ensure compliance across various operations. You are detail-oriented and possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to convey complex compliance issues clearly to stakeholders.

You are familiar with risk-based approaches and can design standardized audit checklists that ensure objectivity and consistency in reviews. Your experience includes conducting independent retrospective reviews and validating operational procedures against internal standards. You thrive in environments where you can contribute to the growth and integrity of the organization, and you are committed to maintaining high compliance standards.

Desirable

Experience with KYC onboarding and transaction monitoring is a plus. Familiarity with compliance software and tools will enhance your ability to perform audits efficiently. You are proactive in staying updated on regulatory changes and best practices in the compliance field.

What you'll do

In this role, you will develop annual audit plans that are risk-based and tailored to the specific needs of Coupang's operations in Taiwan. You will define the scope and frequency of audits, determining sampling ratios and inspection cycles for high-risk customers and suspicious transaction alerts. Your expertise will guide the creation of audit frameworks that include standardized checklists and quality assurance metrics, ensuring that all reviews are objective and consistent.

You will conduct independent retrospective reviews, back-testing completed cases from both the business and AML operations perspectives. This includes reviewing KYC onboarding processes, periodic reviews, and transaction monitoring alerts. Your role will also involve validating whether operational procedures adhere strictly to internal SOPs, ensuring compliance across all levels of the organization.

You will collaborate with various teams to ensure that compliance measures are integrated into daily operations. Your insights will help shape the compliance culture within Coupang, fostering an environment where adherence to regulations is prioritized. You will also be responsible for reporting your findings and recommendations to senior management, contributing to strategic decision-making processes.
