Dropbox is seeking a Senior Commercial Counsel to support a variety of cross-functional teams and strategies. You'll be responsible for drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts while leveraging your expertise in data privacy and AI regulations. This role requires significant experience in commercial law.
You are an experienced attorney with a strong background in commercial law, having worked either in-house or at a law firm. You possess a client-first mindset and have a proven track record of collaborating with tech clients to innovate and drive efficiencies in legal functions. Your expertise includes handling complex commercial contracts and navigating the intricacies of data privacy law, AI regulations, and intellectual property. You thrive in a team environment, demonstrating empathy and a collaborative spirit while also being capable of working independently as a contracts expert. You enjoy engaging with cross-functional teams and are passionate about supporting business goals through legal expertise.
Experience with M&A integration and commercial disputes is a plus, as is familiarity with the latest developments in AI and technology law. A CIPP certification would enhance your profile, showcasing your commitment to data privacy.
In this role, you will be a key member of Dropbox's global commercial legal team, responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a high volume of complex commercial contracts with business partners, vendors, and customers worldwide. You will partner closely with sales, procurement, finance, and product teams to deliver efficient and scalable legal solutions. Your responsibilities will include advising on customer-facing agreements and providing legal support for M&A activities. You will also play a crucial role in addressing commercial disputes and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Dropbox offers a competitive salary range based on your location, with Zone 2 salaries ranging from $191,700 to $259,300 and Zone 3 salaries from $170,300 to $230,500.
