Overview

Google is seeking a Program Manager for their Vendor Strategy and Enablement team to manage vendor relationships and improve contracting operations. This role requires 5+ years of experience in vendor management and program management.

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 5 years of experience in vendor management. Your background includes managing multiple global vendors in multi-year agreements and executing extended workforce projects. An MBA or Master's degree in a technical or engineering field is preferred, as is experience in contracting operations and program management. You possess excellent communication, sourcing, consulting, and collaboration skills, which are essential for this role.

You are adept at partnering with external suppliers and agent-based programs to deliver agreements and programs effectively. Your experience has equipped you with the ability to establish and advocate best practices in vendor management, focusing on data-driven decision-making, collaboration, and strategic alignment. You proactively address stakeholder needs, anticipate potential challenges, and foster innovation to transform vendor engagements into strategic partnerships that drive sustainable growth.

Your analytical skills allow you to gather, analyze, and interpret data related to vendor performance, agreement compliance, category spend, and market trends. You provide valuable insights to support strategic decision-making and contribute to the development of reporting tools and dashboards. You are committed to identifying opportunities for process streamlining and continuous improvement, ensuring that vendor management processes are efficient and effective.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement by identifying and implementing better procedures for data governance, reporting, and overall agreement management processes. You will gather and analyze data from agreements and available resources to generate reports and visibility focused on compliance trends and business needs. Your contributions will help shape the vendor management strategy and enhance the overall effectiveness of the Vendor Strategy and Enablement team.

You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure that vendor performance aligns with organizational goals and objectives. By leveraging your expertise in vendor management, you will help establish key performance indicators that provide actionable insights for stakeholders. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that vendor agreements are executed effectively and that any issues are addressed promptly.
