Neuralink is seeking a Clinical Veterinarian to provide veterinary care and support for research animals involved in groundbreaking neural interface projects. This role requires expertise in animal welfare and compliance with regulations.
You are a dedicated veterinarian with experience in clinical and surgical support for research animals. Your background includes providing anesthesia and perioperative care, ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare through proactive medical management. You have a strong understanding of federal, state, and voluntary animal welfare laws and regulations, and you are committed to continuous refinement of veterinary practices. You are skilled in training technicians and study personnel on species-specific veterinary care, anesthesia, and surgical procedures.
As a Clinical Veterinarian at Neuralink, you will support our research and development programs aimed at creating and deploying innovative neural interfaces. You will provide veterinary care for various species, including sheep, Yucatan pigs, and non-human primates, focusing on health monitoring and perioperative management. Your responsibilities will include developing standard operating procedures for veterinary care and assisting research and clinical staff in the design and execution of in vivo studies. You will ensure compliance with all relevant animal welfare laws and regulations, and you will collaborate closely with the Veterinary Medicine team to maintain the highest standards of animal care.
