You'll work closely with Engineering, Security, Data, and Product teams, utilizing skills in SQL and Python to enhance risk and controls. This role requires a strong technical background and leadership experience.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in IT audit and compliance, with at least 5 years of experience leading IT SOX programs. Your expertise in Information Technology General Controls (ITGCs) and automated control testing strategies is complemented by your hands-on approach to technology audits. You thrive in collaborative environments, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver effective risk management solutions. Your technical skills in SQL and Python enable you to build automation initiatives that enhance operational efficiency. You are detail-oriented and possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to effectively manage external auditors and consultants while ensuring compliance with PCAOB standards.

Desirable

Experience with cloud technologies and system implementation reviews is a plus, as is familiarity with AI-enabled risk management approaches. You are proactive in identifying IT risks during solution design and have a track record of implementing adequate automated controls. Your ability to conduct deep technical reviews and support system implementations will be invaluable in this role.

What you'll do

As the Manager of IT SOX & Internal Audit at Opendoor, you will lead the IT SOX 404 program, overseeing ITGCs and automated controls. You will drive the annual IT risk assessment and SOX scoping process, ensuring that all systems are compliant and secure. Your role will involve leading walkthroughs, design assessments, and testing strategies, as well as managing remediation efforts. You will also be responsible for leading IT SOX reviews for new system implementations, cloud launches, and major upgrades, ensuring that each implementation includes adequate automated controls and access governance.

You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Security, Data, and Product teams to deliver a modern, AI-enabled approach to risk and controls. Your leadership will be critical in building a scalable, efficient, automation-first SOX program that meets the needs of the organization. You will participate early in solution design to identify SOX and IT risks, ensuring that all new systems are compliant from the outset.
