You'll work with AutoCAD and electrical engineering principles to support the development of launch systems. This role requires experience in electrical control systems design.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in electrical engineering with a focus on automation and controls — your experience includes designing and integrating control systems for complex systems. You are familiar with NFPA79, NEC, and UL508A standards, ensuring compliance in your designs. You have hands-on experience with electrical control panels and data acquisition systems, allowing you to create efficient and reliable solutions. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals. Your ability to design electrical schematics and conveyance systems is complemented by your problem-solving skills, enabling you to tackle challenges effectively. You are passionate about space exploration and are excited to contribute to groundbreaking projects like SpaceX's Starship.

What you'll do

In this role, you will architect, design, and integrate control systems for the Starship launch pads, ensuring that all systems operate seamlessly during critical launch operations. You will design industrial electrical control panels that meet stringent safety and compliance standards, contributing to the overall reliability of the launch systems. Your responsibilities will include designing control and data acquisition systems, as well as authoring detailed electrical schematics that guide the implementation of these systems. You will also design electrical conveyance and distribution systems, such as raceways and wiring methods, to support the infrastructure of the launch pads. Collaboration with other engineering disciplines will be key, as you will interface with teams to ensure that all systems are integrated effectively and function as intended. You will be part of a talented team dedicated to developing innovative automated solutions for space exploration.
