Senior Visual Designer, Hardware

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 6 years of visual design experience in product design or UX/UI design. Your portfolio showcases your ability to weave space, typography, color, iconography, and texture together to create beautiful and accessible products. You have experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization and have led design projects for at least 2 years. You understand the importance of user-centered design methods and are passionate about creating industry-leading user experiences from concept to execution.

Your preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with UX Designers, Researchers, Writers, Content Strategists, Program Managers, and Engineers. You are committed to focusing on the user and ensuring that all design elements contribute to a seamless user experience.

Desirable

You have a strong understanding of design principles and are familiar with the latest design trends and technologies. Your experience includes working with visual programs to evolve and apply new design styles and aesthetics. You are comfortable defending design decisions and articulating the value of your work to stakeholders. You are also open to feedback and continuously seek to improve your design skills and knowledge.

What you'll do

As a Senior Visual Designer at Google, you will play a crucial role in shaping the visual identity of hardware products.
