Job Description

Are you passionate about leading high-impact, cross-functional technology programs that shape the future of Amazon's customer experiences? Do you have a proven track record of delivering complex, mission-critical projects on time and within budget? The Deals & Promotions team is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Program Manager to drive the strategy and execution of our most critical initiatives.

As a Senior TPM, you will be responsible for end-to-end program management of key components within our Deals & Promotions domain. This includes working hand-in-hand with engineering, product, design, and other stakeholders to define the long-term vision, roadmap, and detailed delivery plan. You will break down ambiguous, large-scale challenges into clear, actionable steps, and ensure seamless collaboration and alignment across our distributed teams.

Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will:
• Own the lifecycle of large, strategic technology programs that span multiple teams and organizations
• Define the program vision, objectives, and key results in partnership with senior product and engineering leaders
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, resource allocations, and risk mitigation strategies to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery
• Facilitate cross-functional discussions, negotiate priorities, and make tough trade-offs to unblock progress and drive alignment
• Escalate and resolve dependencies, risks, and issues that threaten to derail the program
• Champion best practices in agile program/project management, process improvement, and team collaboration
• Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to inform technical and business decisions
• Communicate complex program status, decisions, and recommendations clearly and persuasively to senior leadership

To be successful, you'll need:
• 5+ years of experience leading complex, cross-functional technology programs and projects
• Technical acumen to understand system architectures, spot risks, and drive the right engineering solutions
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence leaders up to the Director or VP level
• A track record of delivering measurable business impact through your programs
• Experience simplifying processes, removing roadblocks, and driving continuous improvement
• A collaborative, consultative approach to working with product, engineering, and other partners- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Bachelor's degree- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

The base salary for this position ranges from $128,100/year up to $214,000/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
