N26 is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to ensure the integrity of financial data and reporting cycles. You'll prepare financial statements in accordance with IFRS and HGB, and work closely with external auditors. This role requires 4-6 years of relevant experience.
You have a university degree in Accounting, Finance, or a professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or CA. With 4-6 years of experience in financial accounting, you are detail-oriented and proactive in your approach to financial reporting. You understand the importance of compliance and have a strong grasp of IFRS and HGB principles, ensuring that all financial disclosures are audit-ready and accurate. You are comfortable acting as a primary point of contact for external auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations for accounting treatments. Your ability to evaluate and document complex accounting treatments is a key strength, allowing you to assess business transactions against established principles effectively.
Experience with financial reporting tools and a background in the banking sector would be advantageous. You are familiar with automating reporting workflows, which helps in reducing manual tasks and increasing data reliability. Your collaborative nature allows you to work closely with various stakeholders, ensuring alignment between financial and regulatory reporting requirements.
In this role, you will take ownership of the end-to-end book close process for N26 Group, ensuring all entries are posted accurately within an ambitious three-day timeline. You will prepare quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and HGB, supporting the Manager of Financial Reporting in ensuring all disclosures are compliant and ready for audits. You will evaluate complex accounting treatments and ensure that the reporting framework remains compliant as the product offering evolves. Additionally, you will drive the implementation and optimization of reporting tools, moving manual reporting into automated workflows to enhance efficiency. Your role will also involve supporting the alignment between financial reporting and regulatory requirements, ensuring a single source of truth across the Group.
