You'll work with Python, R, and SQL to solve complex product and business problems. This role requires 13+ years of experience in analytics and 5+ years in a managerial position.
You have a Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience. With 13 years of experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, you are skilled in performing statistical analysis and coding with tools like Python, R, and SQL. If you have an advanced degree, you can qualify with 10 years of work experience instead. You have at least 5 years of experience working as a people manager within a technical leadership role, demonstrating your ability to lead teams effectively. A Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred, along with 15 years of experience in analytics and 6 years in a managerial role. You are passionate about using data to drive decisions and have a knack for weaving stories from numbers to provide meaningful insights.
In this role, you will serve as an analytics expert for your partners, helping them make better decisions based on data. You will lead the Data Scientist strategy for the organization and guide cross-functional initiatives across data engineering, strategy, and business operations. Your responsibilities will include anticipating and developing the data sets, tools, and processes necessary to scale Data Scientist capabilities and facilitate efficient decision-making. You will collaborate closely with teams in Engineering and Product Management, making critical recommendations that align with organizational priorities. Your role will involve setting the vision for data analytics within the Home team, ensuring that your insights contribute to the development of innovative hardware, software, and services for the home. You will also be responsible for mentoring and developing your team, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
