You have a proven track record in operations management, with at least 5 years of experience leading teams in a fast-paced environment. Your leadership style is focused on coaching and mentoring, ensuring that your team meets performance objectives while fostering a positive work culture. You understand the importance of employee relations and are skilled at developing leadership strength within your team. You are adept at balancing operational excellence with team development, driving results across all areas of the facility.

You possess a strong understanding of quality improvement methodologies, particularly Lean, and have successfully implemented process optimization initiatives in previous roles. Your analytical skills allow you to measure performance effectively, provide constructive feedback, and hold team members accountable for their results. You thrive in environments where best practices are shared and continuously improved upon, ensuring that your team is always aligned with the company's operational goals.

You are a strategic thinker who can navigate complex operational challenges while maintaining a focus on safety, quality, and customer experience. Your ability to collaborate with support staff across various departments, including HR, Finance, and IT, enables you to create a cohesive operational strategy that meets the needs of the Fulfillment Center.

Desirable

Experience in a Fulfillment Center or similar operational environment is a plus. Familiarity with budget management and financial oversight will enhance your ability to drive operational success. You are comfortable using data to inform decision-making and are always looking for ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness within your team.

What you'll do

As the Senior Operations Manager at Amazon, you will oversee all budgetary, people development, and operational objectives at the Fulfillment Center. You will lead a team of Operations and Area Managers, coaching and mentoring them to ensure performance objectives are met. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing quality improvement initiatives, leveraging Lean methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.

You will be responsible for the overall performance of either Inbound or Outbound operations, focusing on safety, quality, and customer experience. Setting and clarifying requirements for your team will be crucial, as will measuring performance and providing feedback to ensure accountability. You will take proactive steps to share best practices across all departments and shifts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Collaboration will be key in this role, as you will work closely with support staff from various departments to ensure that operational objectives are met. You will also be tasked with developing leadership strength within your team, ensuring that your Operations and Area Managers are equipped to lead their respective teams effectively.
