Smartsheet is seeking a Corporate Counsel I to support commercial contracting functions and provide legal advice across the company. This role is remote eligible and ideal for candidates in the Pacific or Mountain time zones.
You are a highly capable and motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills, ready to join Smartsheet's collaborative legal team. You have a keen interest in commercial law and are eager to assist in supporting various business functions. Your ability to negotiate, draft, and review commercial agreements will be essential in this role. You thrive in a team environment and are committed to continuous improvement in legal processes and documentation.
Experience in negotiating and drafting commercial agreements, particularly in the software industry, is a plus. Familiarity with data privacy, intellectual property, and professional services agreements will enhance your contributions to the team.
As a Corporate Counsel I at Smartsheet, you will negotiate, draft, and review commercial agreements, including customer/sales and vendor/buy-side contracts. You will provide strategic and practical legal advice to teams globally, ensuring compliance and risk management in all commercial dealings. Collaborating with all members of the Legal team across various office locations, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of document templates and internal resources. Your role will involve supporting the sales and procurement teams, helping them navigate legal complexities while fostering a culture of compliance and efficiency.
