You are a software engineer with a strong interest in developing technologies that enhance the auto finance experience. You understand the importance of creating seamless workflows that integrate into dealership operations, ensuring that car buyers can secure auto loans effortlessly. As a Software Engineer at Upstart, you will be part of the Auto Retail Engagement team, focusing on building the core technologies that power Upstart’s Auto Finance platform. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing features that allow dealership partners to create, present, and close loan offers efficiently. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the technology meets the needs of both the dealerships and the customers.
You will be involved in the entire software development lifecycle, from initial design through to deployment and maintenance. Your role will require you to write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews to uphold the quality of the software. You will also engage in troubleshooting and debugging to resolve any issues that arise in production.
In addition to technical responsibilities, you will contribute to team discussions about product direction and user experience, ensuring that the solutions you develop are user-friendly and impactful.
