Equip Health is seeking a Family Mentor to support caregivers in integrating into their eating disorder treatment program. This role involves identifying barriers to treatment and personalizing programming to meet family needs. Experience in mental health or caregiving is beneficial.
You are someone who understands the complexities of eating disorders and the importance of family involvement in treatment. You have experience working with caregivers, helping them navigate the challenges of supporting their loved ones. Your empathetic nature allows you to connect with families and provide the guidance they need to adhere to treatment plans. You are proactive in identifying barriers to treatment and are skilled at developing strategies to overcome them. You believe in the power of evidence-based practices and are committed to ensuring that families feel supported throughout the recovery process.
Experience in mental health or a related field is a plus. Familiarity with evidence-based treatment approaches will help you in your role. You are comfortable working in a virtual environment and have strong communication skills to engage effectively with families.
As a Family Mentor, you will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary care team, working closely with therapists, dietitians, and physicians to ensure that caregivers are fully engaged in the treatment process. You will proactively identify barriers that families may face in adhering to treatment plans and work collaboratively to address these challenges. Your role will involve personalizing Equip's programming to meet the unique needs of each family, ensuring that they feel empowered and supported throughout their journey to recovery.
You will conduct regular check-ins with caregivers to assess their progress and provide ongoing support. You will also play a key role in educating families about the treatment process and the importance of their involvement in their loved one's recovery.
