Your background includes managing tax audits and preparing tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740. You possess strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with external tax advisors and internal stakeholders. You are detail-oriented and have a proven track record of ensuring compliance with various tax regulations.

What you'll do

As the Senior Manager, Tax at SpaceX, you will be responsible for directing all aspects of the company’s tax operations. This includes overseeing the preparation of federal and multi-state tax returns, managing tax audits, and ensuring compliance with sales and use tax, property tax, and business licenses. You will work closely with external tax advisors to provide necessary information for tax filings and quarterly estimates. Additionally, you will prepare the annual tax provision and maintain major tax accounts in accordance with ASC 740 and FIN 48. Your role will also involve coordinating responses to notices from taxing authorities and processing refund checks.
