SpaceX is hiring a Production Scheduler for the Starship program to drive efficient production through effective scheduling and collaboration with teams. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage production constraints.
You have experience in production scheduling and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes — you excel at developing rate-based schedules and identifying part shortages to ensure smooth operations. You are skilled at collaborating with cross-functional teams to set and execute daily and weekly goals that align with overall production targets. Your ability to build strong relationships with internal suppliers and communicate effectively about hardware needs and completion dates is key to your success in this role.
You are detail-oriented and proactive in projecting long-term departmental needs — you understand the importance of tracking constraints across builds and can adapt schedules to meet changing demands. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to supporting the overall goals of the production team.
Experience in aerospace or a related field would be a plus, as would familiarity with advanced manufacturing technologies. You are comfortable using scheduling software and tools to optimize production workflows and enhance efficiency.
As a Production Scheduler for SpaceX's Starship program, you will assist in production scheduling for your designated work center — this includes identifying need dates for all part shortages and projecting long-term high-level rate needs for the department. You will create a rate-based schedule for hardware and define and track constraints across builds for upcoming missions. Your role will involve using established schedules to generate stakeholder buy-in on various scenarios, determining optimal hardware allocation between new and refurbished components based on customer needs and quality requirements.
You will work closely with production teams to set, track, and execute daily and weekly goals that consider personnel and equipment constraints while supporting overall rate targets. Building strong relationships with internal suppliers will be essential, as you will establish high-accuracy communication channels for hardware needs and completion dates. Your ability to manage production constraints effectively will contribute to the success of the Starship program.
At SpaceX, you will be part of a mission-driven team focused on enabling human life on Mars. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, along with opportunities for professional growth and development. You will work in a collaborative environment where your contributions directly impact the future of space exploration. Join us in our quest to make humanity a multi-planetary species.
