Key job responsibilities
- You will design and build scalable distributed front end experiences that serves a variety of use cases ranging from sustainability publications to tools to storefronts and transactions
- You will partner with UXD and other engineers to build scalable CX that is efficient to build and maintain as our use cases expand
- You will play an influential role in defining the evolution of our design system across surfaces including influencing partner teams in their component evolution
- You are pioneer in introducing new front-end technologies that helps render a pleasant experience with appropriate graceful fallbacks as necessary
About the team
We are Sustainability Solutions & Services (SSS) team within WW Sustainability. Our mission is to build tools and solutions to democratize Amazon's proprietary knowledge and learnings for our value chain partners to help achieve their climate goals. We a team of passionate builders who are mission-driven doing our part to a sustainable environment. - 4+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience
- 3+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience
- Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react
- 3+ years of front-end technologist, engineer, or UX prototyper experience
- Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node
- Knowledge of computer science fundamentals (e.g., data structures & algorithms, OO design)
- Experience with responsive design, as well as cross-browser development and testing
- Knowledge of front-end test frameworks and writing automated front-end tests- 3+ years of agile software development methodology experience
- Experience building scalable, distributed, front-end experiences
- Understands how to optimize the delivery of code and assets (e.g., images, fonts) to a browser or device (e.g., lazy loading assets, using CDNs, caching, compression, etc.).

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
