Job Description

Deloitte is looking for an experienced Corporate Finance professional to join its Transactions advisory team based in Wellington. This provides an opportunity to:

·         Broaden your involvement across the range of Corporate Finance disciplines, as we operate as one team across Transaction Services, M&A and Valuation offerings.
 
About this team:
 
Our Transactions advisory team support clients through all stages of the transaction lifecycle, covering financial due diligence (purchaser and vendor), M&A advisory, debt advisory, valuation and modelling.
 
Your typical day will include:
 
·         Managing client projects (predominantly transaction processes).
·         Analysing and quickly developing an understanding of the target business.
·         Clearly communicating the key commercial, financial and value drivers to potential acquirers.
·         Coaching, training and development of the team.
 
We are looking for a person who has:
 
·         At least 4+ years' experience working in a professional services firm, investment bank or similar environment.
·         A chartered accountant (CA) qualification or chartered financial analyst (CFA) holder.
·         Strong numeracy and sound logic, including excellent Excel based financial modelling skills.
·         Engaging communication skills, including verbal and written, and an ability to build client and internal relationships.
·         Ability to mentor and lead junior team members and work collaboratively as part of the wider team on client engagements.
·         Proven project management skills including responsibility for delivering to project timetables.
