Airwallex is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to develop and maintain their ecosystem of payment solutions. You'll work with Java and Spring to build scalable backend systems. This role requires 5+ years of experience in backend development.
You have 5+ years of backend engineering experience, building production systems that scale effectively — you've owned services from design through deployment and have navigated the complexities of debugging distributed systems. Your expertise in Java and Spring is deep, allowing you to ship high-throughput APIs that handle millions of requests seamlessly. You understand service architecture, dependency injection, and testing strategies, ensuring that your code is robust and maintainable.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to turn zero-to-one ideas into real products — your ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders is a key asset.
