ABC is hiring an Infrastructure Support Engineer to ensure technical excellence and operational efficiency in cloud environments. You'll automate operations, respond to production incidents, and assist development teams. This role requires experience with AWS and Linux.
You have a solid background in infrastructure support, particularly in cloud environments, and are adept at automating day-to-day operations. Your experience includes responding to production incidents and collaborating with development teams to resolve issues effectively. You are detail-oriented and can monitor product/service operations against key performance indicators, taking necessary actions when deviations are detected. You are skilled in documenting incident responses and preparing runbooks in collaboration with development teams. Your technical expertise allows you to reduce human effort in operations by configuring alerts and monitoring systems efficiently.
Experience with incident root cause analysis (RCA) and preparing postmortem reports is a plus. Familiarity with various cloud platforms and automation tools will enhance your ability to contribute to service reliability improvements.
In this role, you will be a first responder to production incidents, executing well-defined responses and escalating issues to higher levels of support when necessary. You will assist development teams in incident resolution, providing updates and handling communication effectively. Your responsibilities will include conducting incident root cause analyses and preparing reports to communicate findings to client stakeholders. You will also monitor the operations of shipped products and services, ensuring they align with the agreed-upon engagement models. Your contributions will help improve service reliability by automating processes and tweaking monitoring systems as needed.
