Samsara is seeking a Mid Market Account Executive to drive sales of their IoT solutions to mid-sized customers. You'll engage with executives and manage complex sales processes. This role requires strong communication and negotiation skills.
You have a proven track record in sales, particularly in the technology sector, and are comfortable engaging with mid-sized customers. Your experience includes managing complex sales cycles, negotiating pricing, and conducting product trials. You thrive in a role that requires you to build relationships with multiple stakeholders, including executives and CXOs, to drive business growth. You are self-motivated and enjoy working in a remote environment, with the ability to travel as needed to meet clients and prospects. You understand the value of IoT data and are excited about helping organizations improve their operations through technology.
Experience in the Internet of Things (IoT) space or related industries is a plus, as is familiarity with sales methodologies that focus on consultative selling. You may have a background in fields such as transportation, construction, or manufacturing, which will help you relate to the challenges faced by potential customers. A strong network within the mid-market segment can also be beneficial.
In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales of Samsara's Connected Operations™ Cloud to mid-sized customers. You will identify potential clients, conduct outreach, and build relationships to understand their needs and how Samsara's solutions can address them. You will manage the entire sales process, from initial contact through to closing deals, which typically range from $20k to $100k. This includes conducting product demonstrations, managing proof of concepts, and negotiating pricing with multiple stakeholders. You will work closely with the marketing and product teams to ensure that you have the necessary resources and support to succeed in your role. Additionally, you will track your sales activities and results, providing regular updates to your manager and contributing to the overall sales strategy.
