Senior Systems Engineer

Who you are

You have extensive experience managing virtualization infrastructure, particularly with VMware ESX/vCenter, and are adept at administering core Microsoft services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Exchange. Your expertise in deploying and supporting Windows Server 2016-2025 is complemented by your knowledge of Microsoft cloud services such as Entra ID and OneDrive. You thrive in environments that require quick adaptation and have a strong understanding of the trading industry, which enhances your ability to support the firm's operations effectively.

You possess a basic knowledge of containerization and Kubernetes, which adds to your versatility in handling various infrastructure challenges. What you'll do

In your role as a Senior Systems Engineer at DRW Holdings, you will be responsible for providing operational support for Microsoft platforms and VMware virtualization infrastructure. You will manage and optimize the virtualization infrastructure, ensuring it meets the demands of the firm's trading operations. Your responsibilities will include administering core Microsoft services, deploying and supporting Windows Server environments, and providing support for Microsoft cloud services.

You will work closely with the Enterprise Systems team to deliver reliable and flexible core infrastructure services that underpin the firm's trading activities. This will involve troubleshooting and resolving issues related to virtualization and Microsoft services, as well as implementing best practices for system management and security. You will also be expected to document processes and procedures to enhance team knowledge and efficiency.

Collaboration is key in this role, as you will partner with various teams across the organization to ensure that the infrastructure aligns with the firm's strategic goals. You will participate in projects aimed at improving system performance and reliability, and you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of new infrastructure solutions that support the firm's growth.
