Your experience includes designing, implementing, and deploying high-quality code for new product features — you understand the importance of taking features from concept to production and are familiar with the challenges that come with it. You are also knowledgeable about system design principles and have a keen eye for detail when it comes to ensuring a seamless user experience.

What you'll do

As a Software Engineer on the Flights Platform team, you will be responsible for driving core feature delivery across the flight booking funnel — from flight search to booking creation and post-booking fulfillment. You will design and implement scalable services that integrate new airline partners, supporting Hopper's growth worldwide. Your contributions will directly impact the reliability and performance of the flight booking engine, ensuring a trustworthy experience for customers.

You will participate actively in discussions around system design, identifying opportunities to improve service reliability and performance. Your role will involve substantial code contributions to a complex microservices environment, where you will work closely with other engineers to enhance existing systems and develop new features.

You will also be involved in monitoring system performance and reliability, responding to incidents, and ensuring that the services you build can handle high loads without compromising user experience. Your work will be highly visible, and you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the travel ecosystem.
