You have 5+ years of experience in automation engineering, with a strong background in maximizing equipment reliability and operational performance. Your expertise in troubleshooting complex control systems allows you to analyze performance metrics effectively and drive continuous improvement initiatives. You enjoy mentoring junior engineers and leading cross-functional teams to optimize material handling equipment (MHE) systems. Your technical leadership is essential in implementing innovative projects and developing system design improvements that enhance site throughput.

You are familiar with state-of-the-art technology, including conveyors, sortation systems, scanners, cameras, print and apply systems, and SCADA devices and programs. You understand the importance of operational excellence and are committed to ensuring that customers receive their orders with Amazon's signature speed and accuracy. Desirable

Experience with robotics and material handling equipment (MHE) is a plus. What you'll do

As a Senior Automation Engineer at Amazon, you will play a crucial role in the Reliability & Maintenance Engineering (RME) team. Your primary responsibility will be to maximize equipment reliability and operational performance in our fulfillment centers. You will provide proactive controls automation and technical support, ensuring that all robotics and material handling equipment (MHE) operate at peak efficiency.

You will troubleshoot complex control systems and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement. Your insights will drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance and customer satisfaction. You will also mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their roles.

In this role, you will lead cross-functional teams to optimize MHE systems and implement innovative projects that contribute to the overall success of the fulfillment centers. Your technical leadership will be vital in developing system design improvements that enhance site throughput and operational excellence.

You will work closely with various stakeholders, including operations teams and engineering partners, to ensure that all systems are functioning optimally. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency of our operations and the satisfaction of our customers.
