What you'll do

As a Data Scientist at Cubist, you will analyze financial datasets and prepare comprehensive reports for investment teams, ensuring they have access to timely and accurate information. You will create derived data content and develop data ingestion pipelines that streamline the flow of information. Identifying potential data sources will be a key part of your role, as you engage with vendors to understand the characteristics of various datasets. You will also define and automate qualitative data checks, ensuring the integrity of the data used in trading strategies. Your contributions will directly support the live production trading of billions of dollars across global capital markets, including equities, futures, and options.

In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will assist with data-related questions and requests from investment teams, providing insights and solutions that enhance their decision-making processes. You will create and maintain internal documentation on datasets, ensuring that your team has a clear understanding of the data landscape. Your role will be pivotal in empowering predictive modeling in finance, as you collaborate with colleagues to build elegant and scalable solutions that meet the demands of systematic trading.
