ComplyAdvantage is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to help build SaaS-based anti-money laundering solutions. You'll work with Java and Kotlin, contributing to feature development and system maintenance. This role is ideal for candidates eager to learn and grow in a collaborative environment.
You are a driven and talented individual with a foundational understanding of software engineering principles. As a Junior Software Engineer, you have experience or coursework in Java and Kotlin, and you are eager to learn and adopt new technologies. You understand the importance of writing quality code and are committed to best practices in software development. You thrive in collaborative environments and are excited to work alongside other engineers to deliver impactful solutions.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP is a plus, as is familiarity with relational databases like PostgreSQL. You may have had exposure to containerization technologies like Kubernetes, which will help you in deploying and managing applications effectively.
In this role, you will work closely with a team of software engineers to develop new features for our anti-money laundering platform. You will be responsible for writing code that enables our system to analyze information about individuals and apply machine learning models to categorize their actions. Your contributions will help our customers identify suspicious activities and enhance their compliance efforts. You will participate in sprint planning and have the opportunity to demo your work to stakeholders, ensuring that your contributions are recognized and valued.
You will also take ownership of the quality of your code, writing tests and suggesting improvements to our development processes. As you grow in your role, you will learn to navigate our tech stack, which includes cloud architectures and relational databases, while contributing to the overall success of our platform.
