As a Software Engineer on the Onboard Reliability Infra team, you will architect the backbone of onboard reliability — your primary responsibility will be to build the critical infrastructure and tooling ecosystem that ensures onboard software is robust and reliable by design. You will develop a deep understanding of system behavior, implementing dense, low-noise metrics that provide immediate insight into vehicle and fleet performance.
You will collaborate across Waymo to refine reliability workflows, ensuring that business-critical operations run smoothly and safely at scale. Your engineering efforts will focus on proactively detecting anomalies and automating clustering, which will enhance the overall reliability of the Waymo Driver.
You will report to a Staff Software Engineer / Tech Lead Manager, working closely with other engineers to drive improvements in software health and development velocity. Your contributions will directly impact the safety and efficiency of autonomous driving technology, making a difference in the lives of riders.
Waymo offers a competitive salary range of $170,000—$216,000 USD, along with eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus program and equity incentive plan.
