Who you are

You are an exceptional transactional lawyer with a strong background in commercial law, ideally with 5+ years of experience in the fintech or payment industries. You have a deep understanding of regulatory issues and are comfortable advising high-growth companies on complex transactions that may span multiple jurisdictions. Your knowledge of Portuguese is a plus, as you will be focusing on the Mexico and Brazil markets. You are familiar with using LLM tools and have experience in improving legal processes with AI technology. You understand Brazilian regulatory frameworks and data protection laws such as CCPA, GDPR, and HIPAA, which will be crucial in your role.

What you'll do

In this role, you will support the AMER Sales team by leading negotiations for complex and strategic agreements. You will advise on a wide range of commercial and legal issues, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. You will work closely with various stakeholders to facilitate smooth transactions and provide legal guidance on business strategies. Your expertise will help Stripe navigate the complexities of global commerce, particularly in the rapidly evolving fintech landscape. You will also be involved in developing and implementing legal processes that enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the team.
