Job Description

Amazon is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Engineer, to drive a culture of innovation and Continuous Improvement for EU Team of Mechatronics and Sustainable Packaging (MSP). Successful candidates will have strong experience in providing concise analysis of machine and process performance by using statistical and ML based tools to deep dive into the machine metrics.

As a member of the MSP Continuous Improvement team, you will leverage strong data extraction skills to drive worldwide reporting deliverables, engineer ad hoc performance analysis, support business planning and implement ideas for process improvement. The individual must have the ability to communicate effectively across multiple technical and non-technical functions. Successful members of this team collaborate effectively to solve data problems, implement new reporting solutions, and deliver successfully against high operational standards.

The candidate will demonstrate the following:
- Focus on customers and work backwards
- Be highly analytical and detail oriented
- Quickly build credibility and trust with internal customers
- Successful in an ambiguous environment
- Comfortable with tight deadlines and prioritize workload

The role is available in either Spain, Italy, Germany or UK.

Key job responsibilities
- Work in a cross-functional team to deliver on demand projects and requests.
- Creating and optimising performance dashboards across all MSP product portfolio.
- Source, analyze, and formulate quantitative data; perform ad hoc analyses
- Analyzing trends, formulating projections, and evaluating savings initiatives
- Support the development of continuously-evolving automated forecast models and methodologies, owning the quantitative analysis of the performance
- Provide fact-based insights into variances and trends
- Presentation of findings and recommendations to Senior Leaders
- Identify and advocate for technical options related to machine learning, data mining, and other statistical approaches.
- Maintain an understanding of the latest trends in data science and machine learning.- Experience in analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc.
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g. t-test, Chi-squared)
- Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R)
- Experience with SQL
- Experience in the data/BI space- Master's degree, or Advanced technical degree
- Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design
- Experience with statistical analysis, co-relation analysis
