Overview

SpaceX is seeking a Senior Product Development Engineer for the Starlink project to drive the design, production, and launch of innovative satellite products. You'll engage in various technical fields and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure manufacturability and product success.

Who you are

You have a strong background in product development engineering, ideally with experience in aerospace or telecommunications. You are skilled in managing projects from concept to launch, ensuring that products are designed for manufacturability and scalability. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams allows you to effectively communicate technical requirements and drive product success. You are adaptable and thrive in fast-paced environments, ready to tackle challenges that come with developing cutting-edge technology.

Desirable

Experience with satellite systems or broadband technology is a plus. Familiarity with manufacturing processes and production line optimization will help you excel in this role. You are a problem solver who enjoys working on complex projects and can think critically about design and production challenges.

What you'll do

In this role, you will own the product development process for Starlink products, from initial design through to launch. You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to define product roadmaps and ensure that products meet quality and performance standards. Your responsibilities will include spearheading innovative production lines and managing large-scale insourcing projects to enhance production capabilities. You will also engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback, ensuring that the final product aligns with user needs and company goals.

You will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of new Starlink kits, which will involve collaborating with various teams to design and test prototypes. Your role will require you to analyze production data and implement improvements to optimize efficiency and reduce costs. You will also participate in the launch process, coordinating with multiple departments to ensure a successful rollout of new products.
