What you'll do

As the Technical Director at AKQA, you will lead the Tokyo technology team, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and meet the highest standards of quality. You will be responsible for the technical setup and onboarding of web and digital product development projects, conducting architecture and code reviews, and performing technical risk assessments. Your role will involve collaborating closely with local leadership and regional practice leaders to define and execute the technology strategy for the Tokyo studio. You will also play a key role in client engagements, ensuring that technology solutions align with business objectives and deliver exceptional user experiences. You will mentor and guide Solution Architects, Technical Leads, and Principal Engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence within the team. Additionally, you will contribute to regional technology initiatives and practice development, sharing insights and best practices across the organization.
