Amazon Appstore Worldwide is a group of talented technical professionals that are empowered and driven to build world class products and services for mobile app developers and customers. We are looking for a “Quality Assurance Engineer" who is passionate to work on core system architecture and cutting edge technologies. As QAE you will plan, design and automate various Appstore components ranging across Web front-ends, service back-ends and Android Devices automation. You will also be building load testing and bench marking tools for services and platforms. Our quality engineering team is using open source technologies to build automation tools and test frameworks for building robust, scalable and reliable automation.
Responsibilities
Work with business and development teams to understand product vision and requirements
Understanding how all elements of the system software ecosystem work together and developing QA approaches that fit the overall strategy
Be responsible for development of test strategies and creation of appropriate test harnesses
Oversee the development and execution of test plans and monitoring and reporting on test execution
Work with a team of quality engineering professionals to ensure the highest quality product delivery
- 1+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
- 3+ years of quality assurance teams management experience
- Experience managing manual testers
- Experience managing automation testers
- Experience testing web technologies and back-end services
- Experience identifying and reviewing test plans, test cases and testing results with a strong QA background- Experience preparing quality metrics and effectively engaging with stakeholders to set and drive quality goals
- Experience transforming QA programs from manual to automation

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $132,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $228,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
